Rotate tool is used for rotating an object at different angles. Your main image mirrors the reflection as accurately as you want. Design one half of the model (1) copy it (2) flip it (3). If you want to create a mirror image, only one half of the model is required. All you have to do is using two functions – copy and flip – together. In SketchUp, creating a mirror image is as simple as designing the basic 3D models. The rotate tool helps your model spin and fold to fit into your designing requirements. The general application of flip tool is that you can backflip geometry to 180 degree angle. A proper use of these features will allow you to navigate some difficult jobs in 3D modeling software like mirroring an object. In the Other Uses section, you’ll see how an internal array can be used to space pickets of a fence.Flipping and rotating tools make your 3D designing a fun experience as you can easily draw the complex things with these applications. In this example, you’ll use construction lines to place the first and last windows in a row, and then use the forward slash format to place more windows in between. Construction lines are created with the Tape Measure tool. To help you align your copies, you can use construction lines, which are temporary guide lines that can easily be erased or hidden when you’re finished with them. (The forward slash symbol denotes division.) For example, if you make a copy of an object 20 feet away, and then type 4/ and press Enter, you will have five objects (four copies plus one original), with four equal spaces of 5 feet each in between copies. The format for placing a specific number of copies between two objects is to enter the desired number of copies, followed by the / (forward slash) symbol. In this scenario, you know where the first and last objects are located, and want to space objects evenly between them. (You need to only tap the key you don’t have to keep it pressed.)
